It accounts for about twenty five percent of all childhood cancers. About 2,200 young Americans are affected by the disease each year. CureSearch National Childhood Cancer Foundation will be launching a national campaign in September for National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. This campaign is an online virtual walk for the 12,500 children that are diagnosed with cancer each year.
The CureSearch Virtual Walk for 12,500 will unite people in the fight against childhood cancer. The event will take place September 1 to September 30. Their goal is to bring together 12,500 people virtually in support of the 12,500 children who are diagnosed each year.
This campaign will include families, communities, hospitals and many others touched by childhood cancer.
